மதுரையைப் பற்றி நிறைய நண்பர்கள் எழதுகிறார்கள்.அதில் அவர்களின் அக்கறை பிரதிபலிக்கிறது. பல சிறு நாடுகளை விட மதுரை பெரிது. மதுரை இரண்டு கோடிக்கு மேலான மக்களின் ஆசைகளின் ஆடுகளம். மதுரை சறுக்கினால் பலபேரின் வாழ்வு சறுக்கும். It is true that textiles, handlooms, commerce, TVS etc generated employment opportunities. but we forget our Vaigai as the major source of employment. I am not referring its irrigation potential ..I am referring its sand without which we could not have built our Tamil civilization in this area. It is disheartening to know that even after a century PWD failed to comprehend Vaigai in its totality. வைகையை கூறு போட்டு வரைபடமாக்கி சுவத்திலே மாட்டிட்டாங்க.
